Ensuring that 2020 is prolific as ever, Brazilian dance music star Alok has dropped two new singles—‘Symphonia’, an epic track with frequent collaborator Sevenn followed by ‘Free My Mind’, featuring fellow Brazilians Rooftime and Dubdogz, both tracks are out now via Alok’s CONTROVERSIA label.
Sampling Beethoven’s iconic 5th symphony, ‘Symphonia’ delivers a blend of the 18th century, with a modern rocking dance music sound – something that does not often get mixed. The track marks the fourth time Alok and Sevenn have teamed up, with their past collaborations grossing large stream numbers – ‘Symphonia’ will surely follow in their footsteps.
Alok flips the style for the second single, opting for a more pop friendly approach. ‘Free My Mind’ sees a combination of acoustic and electronic elements. Underpinned by Rooftime’s smooth vocals and introspective lyrics – it’s a top production with immense potential.
