Damon Sharpe Teams Up With Josh Cumbee For Fresh Single ‘Lost Years’

An award-winning producer, songwriter and DJ, Damon Sharpe has definitely taken over dance music within the past few years. Throughout his career, the established  artist has collaborated with A-list names such as Thomas Gold, DVBBS and Ferry Corsten, as well as worked alongside international superstars such as Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Pitbull, Alesso, Kelly Rowland, Kylie Minogue, and Nelly.

Now, fresh off his recent 1-hour “Back To The Future” special DJ set with DVRKO, the buzzing dance act is returning to Armin van Buuren’s Armada Records, releasing his first single as an officially signed artist: “Lost Years” with Josh Cumbee. An anthemic dance gem, “Lost Years” brings together infectious pop songwriting with groovy house drops to form a universally inspiring record. Damon Sharpe explains:

“Josh and I were discussing the feeling you get when you finally meet the person you want to spend the rest of your life with and wish you could rewind time to have met them sooner. All we can do is make a conscious effort to make up for the time and experiences missed out collectively on before meeting them. Once Cimo and Rik joined the session it really came together. We started incorporating a universal message of making up for lost time in multiple scenarios, relationships, career and life in general…I think it will really resonate with how people have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic…whenever this is all over, we will definitely be making up for lost time. Hopefully this tune can be an uplifting anthem of encouragement to do exactly that!”
