Gold Casio Unveils Inaugural Album, ‘Disco Hits Radio (Or, The Ecstasy of Ego Death)’

Ushering in a one-of-a-kind approach to music creation, the four-member group Gold Casio has dropped their long-awaited debut album, Disco Hits Radio (Or, The Ecstasy of Ego Death). From 2020 to present day, this band has released a wide collection of infectious singles. Now, Gold Casio is taking the next steps in their blossoming career with this otherworldly compilation.

Speaking on the making of Disco Hits Radio (Or, The Ecstasy of Ego Death), Gold Casio shares, “when we began putting together the album, we were drawing inspiration from a lot of pretty disparate places, and the songs were leaning in a lot of different sonic directions; it was a pretty diverse batch. We started thinking about how to connect the dots and draw it together into a cohesive work, and we began imagining the idea of creating this cosmic mixtape or an inter-dimensional pop radio station.”

Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Gold Casio has been fusing new-age and vintage soundscapes way before this LP. Their auditory works have similarities to Daft Punk and Justice while encompassing vocals that sound like the offspring of Blondie and Talking Heads. Disco Hits Radio (Or, The Ecstasy of Ego Death) is just a sneak preview of the psychedelic pop anthems to be released in Gold Casio’s future.
