Gorgon City Deliver House Masterclass With ‘Salvation’

UK house outfit Gorgon City land on the airwaves with their fourth LP; Salvation. The vocal house-filled offering includes just two previously released singles, meaning 80% of the album is brand new today. Gorgon City fans are certainly in for a treat with the project’s release.

With an impressive 1.5 billion catalogue streams and being named Beatport’s Artist of the Month for July, Gorgon City displays their versatile artistic range in Salvation. The album starts with the delicate arpeggio of ‘Wreckage,’ gradually building into a slow-burning melodic house banger with Julia Church’s elegant vocals. Following that is the disco-laced club anthem ‘Voodoo,’ one of the two album singles alongside the blissful house groover ‘Lost & Found,’ featuring sumptuous vocal melodies from DRAMA. ‘Voodoo’ has experienced continuous success, officially added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist (their second addition this year) with over 75 plays on the station, and it also entered the Official UK Singles Chart. Towards the end of the album, the alluring deep cuts ‘City of Angels’ and ‘Remember the Days’ showcase storming vocals from Jelani Blackman and Selah Sol, respectively. Lastly, the brooding UKG-influenced masterpiece ‘Should’ve Known’ brings the album to a captivating close.

The UK dance powerhouses are now ploughing ahead with their massive live schedule. As the duo continue to dominate in the global live circuit including a recent sold-out Brooklyn Mirage and kicking off their Amnesia Ibiza residency plus festival slots to come at Tomorrowland, Creamfields and Lollapalooza. Proving they can rule hearts as well as dance floors, Salvation shows Gorgon City in their absolute element, crafting melodic house anthems with deep emotion and effortless style.
