Jed Holland Puts It All On The Line With ‘No More Talking’ EP

Jed Holland, an emerging artist in the indie soul scene, has recently released his debut EP, No More Talking, under The Other Songs label based in London. Originally from the suburbs of Essex near London, Jed’s musical journey began early, influenced by the Folk sounds of Bob Dylan, Nick Cave, and Joni Mitchell, often heard in his childhood home.

From a young age, Jed showed a keen interest in music. He started playing the violin at six, following in his mother’s footsteps. By the age of 13, he was writing his own songs and developing his unique style. His early music career involved playing in an indie-folk band with his older brother Noah. The band, which signed a record deal when Jed was 16, enjoyed six years of playing and touring together.

Jed’s musical skills further developed while studying Jazz at Leeds Conservatoire. During this time, he collaborated with various musicians and creatives, which influenced his songwriting and broadened his musical tastes. Besides his studies, Jed worked as a session player with artists like Cavetown, Sam Wills, and James Smith.

His debut EP showcases his talent with a range of sounds and styles. From the soulful “Shelter” to the chilled lo-fi “Still Breathing,” and the synth-heavy “Souless,” each track reflects a different aspect of his musical ability. Jed’s music is a product of his varied experiences, from his family’s musical influence to his professional collaborations and academic training. “No More Talking” goes beyond the call of duty of what you expect from an EP, see for yourself below.
