Litvar Returns with Charismatic New Single “Alone (Not Lonely)”

Connecticut indie-rock trio Litvar have made a name for themselves with their sincere, relatable lyrics and genre-blending sound. With their latest single, “Alone (Not Lonely),” the band delivers yet another charismatic blend of indie-pop and alt-rock that is sure to please fans old and new.

Following their 2022 release of “You Should Find A New Boyfriend,” Litvar’s new track is a sarcastic love song that speaks to the enduring nature of chronic pessimism. The song’s self-aware lyrics, such as “I’ll be the sun, you’ll be the moon, that way we’ll rarely see each other,” are sure to resonate with listeners who have experienced similar feelings.

Litvar shares some backstory on how they made “Alone (Not Lonely)” in a recent interview, revealing that the song’s backbone was a chopped guitar loop that they started working on in February 2021. The band loved playing the song live and knew it had to be on their second album. Recorded at New Monkey Studio, the band tracked the bass, acoustic guitar, and drums live together to capture the same feel as their live performances.

“Alone (Not Lonely)” showcases Litvar’s ability to create a sound that is both catchy and relatable. Rex Thurstan, Violet Falkowski, and Joe Lemieux bring their own experiences growing up in Willimantic, Connecticut to their music, but also challenge the status quo with their unique sound.

Litvar’s “Alone (Not Lonely)” is a perfect addition to any indie-rock playlist and a promising glimpse of what’s to come from this talented trio.
