Major Lazer Drop Stacked Fourth Album ‘Music Is The Weapon’

Major Lazer have just released their fourth album; Music Is The Weapon. The trio, made up of Diplo, Walshy Fire and Ape Drums—have returned with the highly anticipated follow-up to 2015’s critically praised Peace Is The Mission.

This album has been in the works for years, originally aiming for a 2018 release until the trio shifted their objective to release singles. It has been reported that this album is also Major Lazer’s last.

Featuring some of the top talent throughout the scene, from Khalid to J Balvin, the album does not lack star power.

The 12 tracks all obviously push Major Lazer’s electronic reggae sound, however, the trio do try to bring a different feel to each track.

Featuring a handful of already released singles, the album launches with a play count already in the hundreds of millions. The album is sure to be a hit among the commercial crowd, whilst electronic fans may not love the collection.
