Once known As Summer Camp Music Festival, Rebrands With New Festival Concept, Solshine: Returning for 2024 With A Jam Packed Lineup!

Friends and music enthusiasts, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about a groundbreaking festival that promises to be a transformative experience. Imagine a musical and artistic reverie, a daydream where the past, present, and future converge to create a celebration like no other. This dream has materialized into Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie, the brainchild of Ian Goldberg, founder of Summer Camp Music Festival.

Picture this: a star-studded Phase One lineup that reads like a who’s who of the music scene. We’re talking about headliners such as Goose, John Summit, The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, moe., STS9, deadmau5, Big Gigantic, and SLANDER. These luminaries will grace the stage at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois, from Friday, May 24, to Sunday, May 26, 2024, with a pre-party on Thursday, May 23.

Solshine is not just a music festival; it’s a narrative unfolding before your eyes. Ian Goldberg shares, “The lineup is curated to help tell that story with nods to the godfathers of our scene, the current hottest artists in the genres we represent, and some of the tastiest up-and-comers that will lead us into the future.”

Continuing the tradition of Summer Camp, Solshine will be co-hosted and headlined by the legendary jam rock band Moe and the iconic genre-melding progressive rock band Umphrey’s McGee. The lineup also features familiar faces from Summer Camp, including Goose, Big Gigantic, STS9, and more. But there’s a twist – Solshine introduces first-time headliners like John Summit, The String Cheese Incident, and deadmau5, ushering in a new era of musical exploration.

The festival promises a diverse array of talent, from Twiddle-lead singer/guitarist Mihali to electronic duo Snakes & Stars, ensuring a musical journey that spans genres and captivates every attendee. With acts like Barclay Crenshaw, Kill Safari, and Moody Good, Solshine is set to break boundaries and introduce fresh sounds to its audience.

But Solshine is more than just music. It’s an immersive experience with workshops, food vendors, and activities that made Summer Camp a cherished “home away from home” for many. Embracing the core ethos of inclusivity, Solshine is on a mission of sustainability, inspiring attendees to live intentionally and positively impact the world. The festival will feature The Illumination Woods and the permanent garden SOULPATCH, dedicated to permaculture and sustainability.

Let’s not forget the picturesque setting at Three Sisters Park, offering a natural amphitheater and a stunning landscape. Solshine attendees can camp within the festival grounds, fostering a true sense of community. All tickets include camping, with additional VIP upgrades and camping options available for those seeking an elevated experience.

In conclusion, Solshine: A Music & Arts Reverie is not just a festival; it’s a journey through time, a celebration of music, art, and community. Join us for this inaugural edition and become part of a story that transcends the ordinary. Tickets are on sale now, and the countdown to Solshine has officially begun. See you at Three Sisters Park for an unforgettable experience!
