Dillon Francis Trolls DJ Snake

0

So last night the website www.djsnake.com indicated a special announcement countdown that was reported by various online outlets. A tweet confirmed New Music due out this Friday but his official site (www.djsnake.fr) remained normal raising questions. As it turned out the site and announcement had nothing todo with new music from DJ Snake but in reality a troll from Dillon Francis for a 3 year old incident where Snake displayed his phone number on the screen during their Ultra appearance in 2015.

NEW MUSIC ON FRIDAY.

Arty Pays Tribute To Avicii With Track ‘For Tim’

After Avicii’s sudden and unfortunate passing, many DJ’s held tributes for their friend Tim; like Kygo getting an Avicii tattoo. Arty on the other hand, produced a record appropriately titled ‘For Tim’. This was obviously a difficult track to produce, with many emotions influencing the final product.

This record is a perfect mix of Arty’s unique sound as well as aspects of Avicii’s trademark melodic piano sounds. As with most Arty and Alpha 9 (Arty’s trance alias) tracks, it’s going to be a very quality production.

No details surrounding release are known, however it seems Arty has just begun to play it publicly. Don’t be surprised to see it released within the next couple months, under either ‘Arty’ or ‘Alpha 9’.

I made a song for my friend and played it the first time last night. I could barely hold my tears…
I can’t wait to share it with you pic.twitter.com/iuhvEcj0nw

Dash Berlin Is Over As We Know It

0

Dash Berlin’s front man Jeffrey Sutorius went social media silent and cancelled several shows recently. Many fans were speculating health concerns, however it has now been revealed his silence was due to the fact he was cut off from his Social Media channels by his former management and booking agent, Vanderkleij Agency. This did also cause him significant stress which has impacted his health in the wake of it.

The artist parted ways with them in May after discovering various aspects of mismanagement, it’s unclear wether he’ll be able to continue as Dash Berlin.

“Through this statement I inform you that at the end of May I severed my ties with Vanderkleij Agency, Sebastiaan Molijn and Eelke Kalberg (booker and management of Dash Berlin). The reason for ending the relationship is mismanagement in the past several years and neglecting my interests. I recently found out that Molijn and Kalberg together with Vanderkleij Agency registered the name ‘Dash Berlin’ in their own name. I did not realize that as such it might not be possible for me to perform under my Dash Berlin name. I requested my lawyers to put this matter before the court, so that this matter can be resolved. All this has had a negative influence on my health, and I was advised to take it easy. I would have preferred to announce this through my own social media channels. However, after ending the relationship my access to the social media accounts was blocked. I hope that all this can be settled quickly and that I can continue to perform. I love my fans and I hope they will understand.”

‘Motions’ is a future-pop masterpiece, drenched in sunshine – right from it’s gentle opening notes, through to the dancefloor destroying main refrain, the listener is transported to a tropical paradise.

‘Motions’ not only marks the Kato’s return to original tracks, but also the start of a busy summer as he will be appearing live at several festivals over the coming months.

Two Can Drop New Single “Got Habits”

Australian brother duo Two Can have stormed onto the scene in the past 12 months, after debuting their original EP they have since dropped official remixes for the likes of David Guetta, Sia, Jonas Blue and Galantis.

Now the duo strike with a brand new single “Got Habits” released through Warner Music, and they have delivered a bass rattling electronic anthem that has already received opening day support from both Apple Music and Spotify so far.

“Got Habits started with a piano and a vocal, pop sensibilities meets everything we love about producing electronic music. We’re excited by the fact that this song leads to new territory for us; it’s what we believe making music is all about, enjoying the freedom of artistic expression and breaking new ground.”

The Melbourne based duo have clocked up several #1’s on Hype Machine and millions of streams to date, and Got Habits looks set to do it again. Their studio prowess shines through on this expertly crafted production, setting an impressive bar for what is to come next from these two.

Martin Garrix & Khalid Team Up For ‘Oceans’

Martin Garrix teams up with US Signer/Songwriter Khalid on chill summer anthem ‘Oceans’.

Having previously charted globally on his originals such as “Young Dumb & Broke” as well as songs with Normani, Billie EIlish, Marshmellow, Khalid’s been on a winning streak the past 12 months that no one can deny. Partnering with the worlds Number #1 DJ only makes sense and his unique soulful voice is built up around a dark brooding emotional chords from Garrix.

Its out now on Martin’s own imprint STMPD Records and Sony Music. While this one is certainly on the slower side, we’re sure their will be a strong package of remixes on the way that will fit his energy sets and clubs across the globe.

Swedish House Mafia New Shows Confirmed

0

During their highly anticipated reunion at Ultra Music Festival back in March this year, Swedish House Mafia announced “we’re Swedish House Mafia for good this time”. Now they have begun to tease future plans but are yet to release any concrete details for us as to when they’ll hit the road and drop new music.

We expect the details to be teased over the next six months leading into 2019 and Axwell may have slipped a comment to support that during a recent Axwell /\ Ingrosso show in New York, when he jumped on the mic and said;

“Should we cancel the Swedish House Mafia gig planned for next year? Because I’m not sure they are ready for Swedish House Mafia in New York.”

Steve Angello confirmed that they would indeed have a tour in 2019, responding to Swedish publication ‘Sydsvenskan’ after they asked a SHM related question in an interview;

“It’s happening, obviously,” he said in the interview (translated from Swedish). “Not all the details are set, but we will be back in 2019.”

If a tour in 2019 exists, it begs the question; why have a nine month gap between shows? After Ultra Miami, it seemed everything dance music was SHM. Now, not so much. Although when they do come back together in 2019, tickets are sure to sell out instantly. Dance music needs SHM, we are waiting patiently.

Don Diablo’s Fresh New Release ‘Anthem’ Is Here

0

Just after announcing his biggest show ever, Future XL. Don Diablo hits us with some new music and this one is an anthem you’ll no doubt be hearing around the festivals and clubs this summer. The House master himself has been responsible for some of the biggest house weapons of the past decade and this one is no different.

Released through his imprint Hexagon, Don Diablo introduces us to “Anthem (We Love House Music) filled with signature stand out piano’s and infectious melodies. The song has similarities to his 2017 release “Momentum” but with a less gritty feel that will receive support from a wide spectrum of artists. Hit play below and give it a listen!

IVYxM Debuts With But You

This Denmark based artist IVYxM had me pulling out Shazam for the first time in a while. While it isn’t brand new, we just caught wind of it’s release in early May.

The song has received additions to Spotify Fresh Finds and New Music Friday and found itself climbing the Denmark Viral 50 Chart. “But You” is a masterfully written R&B record which shines the light on her soulful vocals and is accompanied by a stripped back production that allows her to shine through.

Born and raised in Zambia, she grew up in a musical home and her debut “But You” sounds like she’s already a seasoned R&B talent. It’s no surprise her inspirations come from the likes of SZA, NAO and Kehlani as we can feel a quality that sits among them. We’re looking out for what’s next.
