Sistek, Knightly, & Josh Wood Deliver Meaningful Tropical-Pop Tune “Simple”

Acclaimed singer-songwriters Knightly and Josh Wood have teamed up with Chilean producer  and consistent hit maker; Sistek. In dance-pop three-way collaboration, “Simple,” employs colorful vocal chops and a rolling electro baseline to create a unique pop groove. Lyrically, the song explores the “worry and anxiety” of the “relentless pace of life,” according to Knightly.

“We tried to stay loyal to the name of the song by not overthinking the writing and the production. We just loved the way it sounded on the first take and fully made the song around that. Both Knightly and Josh have an amazing voice and great chemistry, would love to make more music with them” – Sistek

The song’s strong lyrical message is enhanced by sensational pop melodies that will stick in listeners’ heads long after the song is over. Focusing on the simple mundanities of life, the track strikes an authentic tone: “we had an honest conversation about our lives and what we were going though [before we wrote Simple]” says Knightly on the creation of the track.

Previously, Sistek’s releases, like “Pitfalls,” have done incredibly well for such a young artist, earning him several million streams across Spotify and other digital stores and streaming platforms. Later this year, he’ll return his laid-back, tropical-pop sound to Creamfieds Chile in November for the second year in a row, where “Simple” will likely make its festival debut.
