The Aston Shuffle Set To Go Solo

Dynamic Australian duo The Aston Shuffle are a duo no more. Now operating as a solo project, Vance Musgrove took to social media to announce that he and his long-time collaborator; Mikah Freeman are parting ways. While Mikah’s upcoming plans are yet to be disclosed, Vance announced he would become the sole operator of The Aston Shuffle.

“I want to give Mikah my thanks and appreciation for everything we’ve accomplished together during our years of creative partnership and friendship, and wish him all the best for the future.” – Vance

A pioneering name within the Australian music scene, the Canberra-based artists rose to prominence in 2011 with the release of their debut studio album; ‘Seventeen Past Midnight‘, which was nominated for “Best Independent Dance/Electronic Album” at the 2011 AIR Awards. Their 2014 album ‘Photographs’, which featured the gold-selling single ‘Tear It Down’ also garnered significant attention – solidifying The Aston Shuffle’s place in the electronic music scene as a big-time floor-filler. In addition to this, their weekly radio show Friday Night Shuffle on Triple J has always been a staple for Australian party-goers everywhere.
