The Weeknd Touches Down In Australia & New Zealand Late 2023

Today, The Weeknd, an artist who has received Diamond certification and multiple awards, has revealed fresh dates for the After Hours Til Dawn Tour’s extension. This upcoming segment of the tour is set to commence on Monday, November 20th, at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, featuring special guests Mike Dean and Chxrry22, and it will include various destinations throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The globally renowned stadium tour, which has completely sold out, has been a remarkable triumph, setting new attendance records. Recently, the tour achieved a milestone by breaking the attendance record at London Stadium, drawing in a crowd of 160,000 concertgoers over two nights. The Weeknd also wrapped up his largest headline show to date at Wembley Stadium, where he shattered sales records with 87,000 tickets sold in a traditional concert setup with the stage at one end.

In Milan, The Weeknd achieved another feat, selling over 159,000 tickets and becoming the first artist to sell out two nights at Ippodromo La Maura. His performances in Paris marked a historic moment, as they resulted in the highest sales for Stade de France this year, amassing a total of 151,000 attendees across two dates. Additionally, The Weeknd’s shows in Nice, France, witnessed ticket sales of 70,000 across two performances, marking the highest in the city’s history.

Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye, the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme, continues his philanthropic efforts by contributing funds from this upcoming leg of the tour to the XO Humanitarian Fund. This fund supports the organization’s response to the unprecedented global food crisis. During the recently concluded European leg of the tour, over $1 million was raised for the fund through ticket sales.

To accommodate The Weeknd’s considerable demand, an extra date has been added to each leg of the tour.
