TOKYO ROSE And ALEX Bring A “New Era” With Fresh EP

Combining80s-inspired synth lines with post-apocalyptic aesthetics and atmospheres, US-based TOKYO ROSE and Scottish talent ALEX have each contributed massively into pioneering the “Darkwave” genre. The frequent collaborators have released two entire albums together with Akuma & Akuma II, charting on Billboard at #15 and #5 respectively, contributing to their extensive catalogs of multiple projects and collaborations.

The powerful duo have now reunited once again, releasing a fresh new EP titled New Era via Tasty Network. One of their best works to date, New Era features two equally explosive tracks, as well as an uplifting remix from newcomer BLOSSO. Opening track “Dark Sun” is everything we love about synthwave with its thumping basslines and bright synths, while “New Era” takes the energy higher, combining gritty sound design with sinister progressions and melodies.
