1001Tracklists have announced their annual top 101 producers for 2021. The list is a data based ranking, deducing which producer has been played by fellow DJs the most through the year. 1001Tracklists’ rankings are different to other DJ rankings out there as it is driven by facts and is not a popularity contest.
Vintage Culture takes the crown thanks to the impact his original records and remixes have had recently. 2019 winner David Guetta comes in at #2 thanks to his consistent output and future rave sound. Kryder, Armin van Buuren and John Summit round out the top 5. It is the first time John Summit has entered the list and he lands at #5, which is impressive!
Twenty seven countries are represented in this year’s rankings, with the United Kingdom and the Netherlands totaling nearly 40% of the artists present. Australia, Brazil, France, Italy, Germany, Russia and the United States each had strong contingents,
In order to take a step towards greater change and empowerment, 1001Tracklists have simultaneously published ‘The Future Of Dance’ list featuring 60 women and POC artists alongside the Top 101 Producers. Hand-selecting artists from across the globe, these artists’ productions have also been important in defining the sounds of the electronic music world in the past 12 months and will pave the path ahead.
