January 10th saw the release of Selena Gomez’s LP, “Rare” which added eleven new tracks to the two pre-release singles, “Look At Her Now” and “Lose You To Love Me.” In a thinly veiled disclosure, Selena recaps her side of the story with regards to her relationship with Justin Bieber which of course sparked the interest of tabloid journalists around the world.
However it seems to have taken over the coverage of the LP seeing as it’s the most sensational part of the set of songs. Those who look beyond the drama will be rewarded by a thoughtful excursion through the mind of Selena and hopefully find guidance through her struggles. As with all music, each person will take away something different should they spend some time with it, but there is something to enjoy on many levels with this selection of songs.
