Sources Point To Hardwell’s Return At Ultra Miami 2022

A full 4 years after announcing his retirement from live shows, sources indicate Hardwell will once again step foot behind the DJ booth next month, at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Thanks to multiple sources, CULTR is optimistic that the former number #1 DJ in the world (DJ Mag, 2013, 2014) WILL close out the thrilling finale of the March event, on Sunday 27th March. So far, much speculation has surrounded the Florida based festival, which will return to the iconic Bayfront Park location for the first time since 2018, following a move to Virginia Key in 2019, and COVID cancellations in 2020 and 2021. Now, after Ultra blurred out one act’s name between the alphabetical listings of the letters G-to-I, CULTR‘s inside sources are confident that the 2022 event will see an eagerly anticipated return for the King of the Big-Room genre.

The news comes after various artists, including Timmy Trumpet and KURA both teased the reveal earlier this week, with an official Ultra statement adding: “Ultra Music Festival is incredibly honored to present the highly-anticipated performance of one of the most iconic artists in electronic music history as Sunday’s closing act.” Over the years, Ultra has cemented a reputation as the ideal host for an array of the most dramatic moments in the history of dance music, including SHM‘s final-date of their ‘One Last Tour’ schedule in 2013, before playing host to Avicii‘s set in 2016 on the same night in which he posted his retirement from touring, and then… In 2018, the return of Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso as the Swedish House Mafia on a hugely emotional night for all involved. Now, in 2022, history will be made once again as fans prepare to #GoHardwellOrGoHome.
