G-Eazy has released a new single from his recently announced upcoming album Everything’s Strange Here.
Everything’s Strange Here is a brand new album coming from the Oakland born artist. Described as a “personal exploration”, the album was created entirely in quarantine, and finds G-Eazy exploring new genres and sounds with original music and covers of his favorite artists. Just before the announcement, G-Eazy released ‘Free Porn Cheap Drugs’, likely joining ‘Stan By Me’ on the forthcoming album.
He announced the project through Instagram on his 31st birthday saying: “8 weeks ago I didn’t know I needed to make this. The world has been turned upside down and inside out – but a lot of us have had the fortunate opportunity to self reflect, grow and evolve. This project is a representation of where my heart and head have been at. It’s honest and pure – it’s me. Take it or leave it – this is how I feel. These Things Happen Too, right around the corner. With that being said, Everything’s Strange Here, June 5th.“
This new project from G-Eazy brings us a more mellow style to his sound, with more singing and less rapping.
This isn’t the first time that Marshmello and G-Eazy have linked, G-Eazy was feature on the Marshmello produced track ‘Reverse’ from Vic Mensa. G-Eazy was also brought out to Marshmello’s 2018 Ultra Miami Performance, performing his track ‘No Limit’.
He is simultaneously working on his upcoming album These Things Happen Too, the follow-up to 2017’s The Beautiful & Damned.
