Continuing their highly successful run, getting the title of “million-seller” album with “RESONANCE Pt. 1” which reached more than 1.4 million copies sales, NCT has now returned with the release of their second part, entitled “RESONANCE Pt. 2” along with the Music Video of their lead single of this album “90’s Love“.
Back in September, SM Entertainment first revealed their new project “NCT 2020“. Similar to their previous project, “NCT 2018“, “NCT 2020” is the combination of all NCT units, including NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV. In this project, NCT also welcomed 2 new members, there are Shotaro and Sungchan so that the total who participated in this project were a staggering 23 members.
New member Shotaro had participated in NCT’s comeback “Make a Wish (Birthday Song)” together with Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Lucas, Xiaojun dan Jaemin, which is part of the promotions for the album “RESONANCE Pt. 1“. This album successfully debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and is also the #1 most-viewed video on Youtube with a total of 25 million views in the first 24 hours after its release.
Now it is Sungchan‘s turn to participate in NCT’s comeback “90’s Love” and will be doing promotions for the album “RESONANCE Pt. 2“.It is an upbeat song that combines hip-hop and RnB with a modern sound but wrapped in an Old School concept with Newtro (New Retro). The lead single is sung by Ten, Mark, Winwin, Haechan, Jeno, Yangyang, and the new member Sungchan. This song conveys creating a new spark by remembering and reinterpreting the good things of the past that became eternal and valuable beyond time and space.
“RESONANCE Pt. 2” has a total of 21 tracks, including 8 new songs, and 13 songs from “RESONANCE Pt. 1“. The physical album has 2 versions; there is the Departure version which was released on November 23 and the Arrival version which will be released on November 30. Apart from “90’s Love“, SM Entertainment will also release the Music Video of the single “Work It” this friday November 27th. Johnny, Yuta, Ten, Jungwoo, Hendery, Jaemin, and Jisung will participate in this song.
