Ray Dalio is not your average household name but to those in the finance world, he’s a legend worth a reportedly $17 Billion. In this Podcast brought to us from Freakonomics radio, we get to learn a bit about how he found his path and how you can too. 

Freakonomics is hosted by Stephen Dubner, and this episode was recorded originally for the series “The Secret Life of a C.E.O.” which additionally includes interviews with Facebook’s Mark Zuckerburg, Virgin’s Richard Branson, Microsofts Satya Nadella and Reddits Ellen Pao among others.

During Dubners sit down with Dalio, we hear the founder and longtime C.E.O. of Bridgewater Associates, the biggest hedge fund in the world discuss his unintentional fame and his principles for success. In the more than an hour-long episode, Dalio delves into his beliefs on how and why principles are the defining factor in his success as well as his radical transparency and truthfulness in pursuit in idea meritocracy.
