Review: A Glorius Night Of Golden Features’ Sisyphus In Melbourne

Attending the Golden Features live show was nothing short of a mesmerizing journey into the heart of electrifying soundscapes and pulsating energy. From start to finish, the performance was a captivating display of skilful music production, innovative visuals, and an atmosphere that left the audience in awe.

Detailed thoroughly in his album promotion, Golden Features spent a considerable amount of time in Berlin, heading to underground nightclubs and experiencing the culture. This was felt not only throughout the sounds in his album but at his show as well. Kicking off with a dark and moody first 10 minutes, it felt like we were in a sweaty Berlin club. Thanks to the expansive and eye-opening visuals that later kicked in, we were brought back to reality. The visuals and sound went hand in hand to craft an incredible set that included Golden Features’ classics, new tracks from his latest album Sisyphus as well as mashups with notable electronic anthems.

What truly set this performance apart was the artist’s ability to control the ebb and flow of energy within the venue. The crowd moved as one entity, responding to each bass drop and synth riff with an eruption of cheers and synchronized movement. The transition from thumping, heart-racing tracks to more introspective, melodic interludes showcased the artist’s versatility and deep understanding of musical dynamics.

As the performance drew to a close, it felt like there was more to come, when it reality the night was complete. An encore is certainly not needed but the night did not feel complete for some reason. Either way, Golden Features delivered an amazing performance with outstanding visuals and music. It was not just a concert but an immersive journey into the heart of electronic music, leaving a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to be part of the night.
