Summet And Reeka Team Up On Introspective Vocal Track ‘Solitude’

Summet And Reeka’s “Solitude,” is a charming release that is well-worth hearing. The tune locks in a nice balance between the two acts and showcases a refreshing vibe that’s fit for the new decade that we are now well settled into. “Solitude,” displays a sound that fans of a broader Porter Robinson-like aura would be into. Poppy in many ways, but daring to be different, there’s so much to love about this single and it bare-none does not feel like the common electronic track, to say the least.

Released on Kumo Collective, which has been putting out a lexicon of sounds all of which have been on-point, the single fits right in with mix and has already gone on to get solid support.

I started ‘solitude’ back in 2019 before my ‘this is real’ EP was released. It remained in an idea-stage for several months until I started working with reeka. He delivered some excellent concepts in designing the song’s first half that helped enrich the latter half. ‘Solitude’ was finished a few months into the first surge of Covid, representing the loneliness I felt at the time. I wanted to remain hopeful that we are not meant for this loneliness and that eventually, the feeling will end or shift into something new and less inherently negative.

The messaging behind the track is one of contemplation, and looking inward. Not overbearing or trying to impress with intense or complex design. The single is relatable and has wide-appeal, a vibe that’s easy to enjoy time and time again.
