World renowned songstress Lana Del Rey has this week released her amazing cover of Sublime’s iconic 1996 release “Doin’ Time” (via Interscope/Polydor). The new rendition was made for the Sublime documentary, which screened recently at the Tribeca Film Festival.

It’s a great new version to add to your chill listening, although it’s not a new line you there’s a happy coincidence you could infer through the lyrics of the song “Summertime, and the livin's easy” and “All the people in the dance will agree”, these feel like words she could have written given her hit song Summertime Sadness blew up in the electronic world thanks to Cedric Gervais’ mix of the song.

Lana’s next album Norman Fucking Rockwell is anticipated for a release sometime this year. She has already revealed compelling tracks from it such as “Mariners Apartment Complex,” “Venice Bitch,” and “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but i have it.”.

Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber To Release Collaboration 'I Don't Care' This Friday

Last week Bieber teased a picture of himself and Ed Sheeran on social media raising suspicion that the two global pop dominators were about to drop a new collaboration which might just break the internet. Now today that’s been confirmed with the reveal of the artwork for the new single “I Don’t Care” in marker over a plain white paper texture.

With Justin Bieber having not put out an official single since featuring on 2018’s “No Brainer” his fans will be eager to repeat this one for months to come, with an album confirmed by Bieber during his surprise appearance during Ariana Grande’s Coachella performance we assume this will be one of the first singles. Ed Sheeran has also been quiet since the release of his album Divide in 2017 however is currently the 13th most listened artist on Spotify, the combination of these two’s star power resulted in “Love Yourself” last time now with both featuring on it we have a feeling we might see them holding a global #1 spot on radio and streaming worldwide in no time.

Don Diablo Links With Jessie J on New Single "Brave"

Don Diablo backs up an impressive year with a new crossover single featuring Jessie J called ‘Brave’, the single follows his club hit “Fever” with CID which was a Beatport #1 and one of the most played tracks at Miami Music Week.

The new single with English singer Jessie J is her first release for the year and comes out on Don’s label Hexagon in association with Republic Records. Don’s known for selecting interesting and unexpected collaborators for his crossover releases and this one is no different, however it’s not the first time they’ve worked together. Back in 2014 Don remixed her single “Burnin Up” with 2 Chains".

“Brave” is definitely a more stripped back friendly listen but the production still keeps the energy up enough to have us wanting to dance around. While it’s not a heaving aggressive club weapon as many of his fans will have no doubt desired, it’s a potential radio hit that will have a far reach on streaming and we’re sure remixes will be in tow or at least a harder hitting VIP from Don himself.

Drake's Soundcloud Record Smashed by BTS Frontman, Kpop star Jimin.

It probably wouldn’t have surprised you if last week we told you that the biggest debut on Soundcloud ever was Drake’s ‘Duppy Freestyle’. With the news and social media hype coverage surrounding the infamous diss track surround the Kanye West, Pusha T drama in the middle of last year it collected 4 million streams in its first 24 hours. This week however Kpop supergroup frontman Jimin has unsettled the Canadian' rapper with a solo debut ‘Promise’ that hit over 8 milllion in the same time.

The song was made available as a free download December 30 only on Soundcloud, much to the annoyance of many of his fans who want to be able to add it to their playlists on streaming services. The chilled out Korean-English release signals an imminent plan for the frontman to branch out beyond just BTS, but it was released on the bands account so we expect it to be in addition.

The result is quite shocking when you also see In comparison Drake’s Duppy Freestyle in 7 months now has over 17 milllion plays meanwhile Jimin’s collected over 22 million in 10 days. We can no doubt expect to see the international star power of Kpop and the growth in major label artists and electronic producers from western pop lining up to try tap into the super following on Jimin and BTS in 2019. Steve Aoki currently is the only artist to have tapped into their star power through their collaboration ‘Waste it On Me’.

Last week Maroon 5 dropped a video for their single "Girls Like You" taken from their latest album. The new version includes a remix from none other than Cardi B and the unexpected collaboration is accompanied by a star studded video that includes comedians, athletes, activists, models, musicians and more.

While some may not be happy about the always controversial Cardi B's inclusion, it is no doubt a perfect storm for global reach. The combination of influential characters push a clear message of female empowerment and diversity, and it finishes with a shot including Adam Levine's wife and child.

However the video may be the bands way of apologizing, interestingly to note the album the song was taken from is called "Red Pill Blues", a phrase they learned after releasing that is commonly used by anti-feminists.

The full list includes Camilla Ceballo, Ellen DeGeneres, Phoebe Robinson, Aly Raisman, Sarah Silverman, Gal Gadot, Lily Singh, Jennifer Lopez, Chloe Kim, Amani Al-Khatahtbeh, Trace Lysette, Mary J. Blige, Tiffany Haddish, Alex Morgan, Angy Rivera, Franchesca Ramsey, Millie Bobbie Brown, Beanie Feldstein, Jackie Fielder, Danica Patrick, Ilhan Omar, Elizabeth Banks, Ashley Graham, Rita Ora and Behati Prinsloo.
