The Kid LAROI Is Spotify’s Next RADAR Artist

Australian born, US based 17 year old rapper The Kid LAROI is the new face for Spotifys RADAR series. The program will include features in the RADAR playlist, a Spotify Singles recording, promotional support for his upcoming releases, a full suite of on-platform marketing, and social promotion. The Kid LAROI’s campaign will also include a forthcoming mini-documentary to premiere later this November.

His releases include JuiceWRLD collaborations “Go”, “Wrong” & “Hate The Other Side” with Marshmello, as well as offerings with Lil Tecca, Lil Mosey, Internet Money and more. He also recently signed to a joint venture with Columbia and Lil Bibby’s Grade A productions.

The Kid LAROI’s appointment as the third US RADAR follows the success of Spotify’s inaugural US RADAR artist Alaina Castillo and second US RADAR addition J.I The Prince of N.Y, all joining more than 115 RADAR-affiliated emerging artists around the world. Just last month, Spotify celebrated the program’s six month anniversary with the launch of its global RADAR hub on-platform.

The Kid LAROI is an artist we’ve been watching closely for the last eighteen months,” says Ned Monahan, Spotify’s Head of Global Hits. “LAROI developed a rabid fanbase in Australia, and then translated it to an even bigger audience in the US, which is incredibly rare and speaks to his potential as a global hit maker. The vulnerability and boldness of his music places him at the heart of young music audiences across the world. We can’t wait to see LAROI break on a superstar level.

When asked what being a RADAR artist means to him, The Kid LAROI says: “Everything.  Looking forward to seeing how the fans receive everything. The family’s growing stronger and stronger every day.”
