London based electronic trio Above &Beyond, recognised and revered for their use of alternative and unique soundscapes have just dropped their latest club mix and extended club mix for ‘Reverie’, featuring Grammy-nominated British singer-songwriter Zoë Johnston.
The track is led by a sparse and ponderous atmosphere, over which Johnston’s haunting vocals permeate the mix with with raw, unfiltered emotion.
Beginning with a gentle, watery synth arpeggiation, the production begins with trance-like vocal harmonies, coloured with airy and sparse production that then moves into an energised build before finding a strong rhythmic drive.
Played at Group Therapy 350 in Prague last year, ‘Reverie’ sees an official release over six months later. Zoë Johnston and Above & Beyond are a match made in heaven and we hope to see that match again in the future!
