With his Pet Shop Boys remix now behind him, Claptone looks forward to seeks out more musical ideas that he can bring to life. He’s officially brought in Gettoblaster as well as Andhim to tear it up with their own versions of “Feel This Way.” The call to action was clearly meant to be, both artist making transformative flips that express who they are vividly while maintaining the integrity of what the original is all about. A well-played match between Claptone with his taste-making/selection, but also with the two producers selected who put their all into this one to make it on-point and overall rich in quality.
Claptone had this to share about the remixes for “Feel This Way:”
The first time I asked Andhim for a remix was around 2015 for a track on my first album ‘Charmer’ and I’ve been asking and pushing them ever since. I love their productions and their music. I’m very happy that they said yes to remix ‘Feel this Way’. On the other end of the spectrum I share the same love for the ruff grooves of Gettoblaster and their powerful bass infused style. What they delivered for a remix blew me away, it’s a staple in my DJ sets recently. Having both remixes on the release to me is a perfect combination and it shows where I can go in my own sets when I play these out.”
Claptone is coming off the heals of his Miami Music Event, which just occurred on March 23rd via Hyde Beach & SLS South Beach venue. The event was nothing short of successful, with plenty of fans coming through for a night of memory and enjoyment.
“Feel This Way,” is off of Claptone’s Closer album, which offers a deep dive into the mind of this talented artist. This track was the 8th single off the album and shares a unique angle of an overall expressive and encompassing experience.
Claptone is a productive guy and 2022 is looking like it’s going to continue to be a good year for him.
