After my first coffee for the day, I jumped on soundcloud and was delighted to notice a new upload from Gryffin, and it’s a collaboration with none other than SLANDER – both artists first new music for the year. Needless to say I was delighted to hear ‘All You Need To Know”.
Swedish songwriter Calle Lehmann takes the vocal duties delivering a powerful performance that at times reminds of John Martin. While it’s only Lehmann’s second feature credit, he’s penned songs for Liam Payne, Aluna George & Bryson Tiller, and Rita Ora. In all ‘All You Need To Know’ is a great blend of production from these three studio geniuses and is supported by an infectious chorus that will have fans singing along for many months to come. We’ll expect to see Gryffin drop this one at Coachella and to dominate the radio waves imminently.
Gryffin who is signed to Universal imprint Geffen/Darkroom has jumped from strength to strength since his breakout ‘Heading Home’ in 2016. Every collaborator he’s worked with has been an exciting paring with his precision production and signature melodies. From Illenium on ‘Feel Good’ featuring Daya to ‘Tie Me Down’ with Elly Duhe and ‘Bye Bye’ with Ivy Adara, we’re glad to add SLANDER to that list. They’ve similarly been on an upwards trajectory for some time having been signed to Monstercat and gained enormous attention last year on their NGHTMRE collab ‘GUD VIBRATIONS’.
