Krewella & Yellow Claw Team Up Once Again On “Rewind”

Once again wielding their talents together, Krewella and Yellow reunite for the release of their tasteful new collaboration “Rewind.” Filled with uncertainty, energy, and emotion, the elements combined here make way for quite an interesting listen. The Pakistani-American sister duo wrote “Rewind” about the feeling of losing yourself in memories and realizing that the emotions and moments you experienced can vanish in the blink of an eye. Riddled with an alluring topline, the vocal presence of Krewella carries the track into a funneling bliss. When you least expect it you are halted to the chorus where you can immediately make note of Yellow Claw’s contributions to the record.

“We wrote ‘Rewind’ about the bittersweet feeling of losing yourself in memories. How moments and emotions seem to vanish in the blink of an eye, and suddenly it’s a month, a year, sometimes a decade later, and you feel like everything you’ve experienced is a fictional story. The “you” from the past is a familiar stranger. You’re sad that it’s all gone, but happy that it led you to where you are right now. They say nostalgia is like a drug, likely because it’s so easy to get stuck in the past, but this song is about letting yourself slip into it knowingly and enjoy it with reckless abandon.” – Krewella
