MEMBA Pair SAGA-II Ep With Stunning 13 Minute Visual

Brooklyn duo MEMBA aka Ishaan and Will are on roll, their infectious sound amassing them a dedicated following from around the world, this year alone they played spots at Coachella, Bonnaroo and Ultra Music Festival in Miami. After getting some much need time in the studio, this week they return with the ‘SAGA-II’ EP and they now push the boundaries even further.

Having teased fans with ‘Inevitable’ from the collection in July, the heavily anticipated EP has just released via Foreign Family Collective along with a stunning visual showcase. The new edition features EVAN GIIA and Ricky James and spans seven songs that set the scene for their brand new world. As MEMBA elaborates on the meaning behind the release “The new EP offers 7 songs that convey life on SAGA-II, a planet of newfound awareness where people accept life and death as they are, using it to live better now.

Paired together with a 13-minute stunning visual experience. Amongst many twists and turns in the video, EP features EVAN GIIA and Ricky James can be spotted as well as MEMBA themselves. From India to New York and Seattle the video was filmed across the globe, and it was constructed with the help of a team of visual artists. The result is a mind-bending video is a must-watch and we think it’ll get a lot of attention in the coming weeks.

Speaking on the clip MEMBA have some recommendations, “We feel that the best way to experience this place is to not only hear it but also see it…. It tells the story of a relic from SAGA-II that accidentally arrives on Earth, connecting strangers in a shared moment of presence. This film is best when watched several times to find all the hidden connections.”

The film (directed by Kusangi and Ishaan Chaudhary, of MEMBA) moves through different narratives across each EP track, which includes standouts ‘Walls Down’ and ‘Schools Out’. The beautifully shot film explores how music, when combined with our senses, can take us to those far-out places of our minds. This reflects the ethos of the sound of MEMBA – creating work that affects and stirs all five senses.

They say: “It’s been unreal going from writing songs in our room to actually playing shows + getting to throw down with our fans. We’re so grateful and promise to always go 1 more mile to give you the best shii possible.”

It’s safe to say MEMBA delivers again with the second instalment in this trilogy. A vivid journey through visuals and soundscapes, the pair has poured their heart and soul into creating ‘SAGA-II’ and the result is nothing short of epic. In the upcoming months, MEMBA are scheduled to support Jai Wolf on his upcoming tour along with performances at Holy Ship, Resonance, and Voodoo Music/Arts Fest.
