MYTHM Returns To Deadbeats With Hard-Hitting EP, ‘Brutalist’

Rising from the experimental bass scene in Vancouver, Canadian artist MYTHM has broken down the barrier of genre with his signature style. From the mind of Mikey Miele, MYTHM fuses elements of grime, drum & bass, hip-hop, dubstep, and other spectrums of music together to put his audience in a trance. MYTHM’s newest project, a three-track EP called Brutalist, is a prime example of his unique sound. Each song on the compilation feels like a hyperspeed trip through the depths of outer space. There’s an abundance of reality-distorting effects and grimy extraterrestrial bass throughout Brutalist.

Even though Brutalist encompasses an insane level of experimental sound design, this is a normal occurrence for MYTHM. Since debuting his project in 2019, MYTHM has dropped psychedelic bass-fueled releases on the likes of Artikal Music UK, Wormhole, Deep Dark & Dangerous, and other prominent labels. Additionally, he has gained support from legendary bass artists, such as PEEKABOO, Liquid Stanger, and Zed Dead, along with performing at the top-tier festivals of Lost Lands, Beyond Wonderland, Shambhala, and Lightning in a Bottle.

Starting off 2023 on fire with Brutalist, huge things lie ahead for this electrifying performer and his artistic vision.
