Morgan Page Classic ‘Longest Road’ Gets A New Remix

0

Morgan Page’s on a roll recently with his recent collaboration with Swanky Tunes, his single “Let You Go” and his Born To Fly EP earlier in the year. Now he revisits his classic “Longest Road” on its 10 year anniversary, the celebratory release includes a 6 year old mix from Vicetone that was once a bootleg, Deadmau5’s classic mix and and Steff De Campo drops a signature piano fuelled future house cut to give us something new and fresh! Morgan dropped us with his thoughts on the song and how the package came about and dropped us insight into how he Lissie developed the lyrics for the track.

”Remixes are all about giving a song new life. Some strip the song to the essentials – others add new elements, chord progressions, and arrangement changes. Over the years there have been hundreds of Longest Road remixes, but one really stood out. In 2012 Vicetone made a bootleg mix that blew me away – it’s still part of my live sets. It’s progressive and epic, but timeless and still sounds fresh. I love when a bootleg mix goes viral. They didn’t ask permission – they just did it, and it started racking up hundreds of thousands of plays (now in the millions). I love licensing these mixes and making them legit. Steff da Campo knocked his mix out of the park – It’s powerful but playful. I play it early in my sets to get the mood started right. He’s doing amazing work and really came through. I’m so excited to announce that each of these remixes, including the original deadmau5 version, are officially out today as part of the 10 Year Anniversary of The Longest Road!”

4BEL Surprises Us With Unique Record ‘What U Do 2 Me’

0

UK based 4BEL is back with another banging record. Influences by his roots, ‘What U Do 2 Me‘ incorporates classic UK sounds, as well as including the famous vocals from Loleatta Holloway’s ’Love Sensation‘. It’s certainly not the first release to feature these vocals, however it’s most definitely one that stands out.

The drop is undoubtedly the highlight of this record, its somehow both minimalistic but still huge; not something you’d hear in your average dance music release. It’s a perfect house track you wouldn’t be surprised to see any big DJ spin. The track’s uniqueness and style has lead to over +70k plays across platforms.

‘What U Do 2 Me‘ is out now on NYON records, with publishing by BMG UK.

Mendo and David Serrano Release “Bella” EP

20-year House veteran Mendo teamed up with promising newcomer David Serrano this week for a two-single EP, “Bella”. Released on award-winning duo Solardo’s record label, Sola, this EP proves House music never dies.

The title track “Bella” is a danceable banger that infuses traditional house beats with tribal-influenced vocal sample and percussion that give the track a uniqueness that is as refreshing as it is fun. The second track “Haven” incorporates a high-pitched, siren-like sample that is reminiscent of cityscapes and nightlife, and makes the song stand out from the crowd.

This is Serrano and Mendo’s second outing together, having already released the Beatport 100 charting Ramon Ramon EP earlier this year. Serrano has been successfully establishing himself in the scene over recent years, with releases on Circus, Knee Deep in Sound, and Viva Music, with support from Ritchie Hawtin, Steve Lawler, and Nic Fanciulli to his credit. With nearly 20 years and 100 songs under his belt, veteran producer Mendo has received unwavering support throughout his career from the likes of Carl Cox, Luciano, and Loco Dice, with releases spanning labels such as Desolat, Elrow, and Toolroom to name a few. These newest tunes show the pair to be the House world’s latest dynamic duo, and is surely only the tip of the iceberg for what’s to come for the producers’ ever-expanding catalogs.

Son Of A Bishop and CAZZETTE team-up on a stunning new track

0

Courtesy of CAZZETTE’s Friday release, we’ve discovered a new artist and we. are. in. LOVE. New Music Friday Germany and Friday Cratediggers featured CAZZETTE’s surprise rework of “Love Left Me Lonely (Please Don’t Go),” the debut single from a new, and exceptionally promising, solo singer called Son of a Bishop. CAZZETTE has built a gorgeous house track here, but it’s Son of a Bishop’s vocals that steal the show. Dripping with soul, he croons heartfelt lyrics that seem to both ache with hope and revel in the pain of romantic self-discovery. Oh, and we just can’t get enough of that absolutely _killer_ falsetto.

>This is our first taste of the mysterious Son of a Bishop, but “Love Left Me Lonely” is a soul-nourishing morsel indeed. What we do know is that Son of a Bishop has previously provided supporting vocals for an all-star lineup of A-list acts: Sam Smith, Lauryn Hill, Pharrell, Chance the Rapper, and many more. We’re definitely eager to hear whatever Son of a Bishop has for us next. Until then, we wait, hearts open, and maybe wipe away a tear after another listen

Sweden-based electronic dance artist and, at his current rate soon-to-be household name; Joakim Molitor, has just dropped his latest tune, which draws listeners in through eager and energetic production. Weaving splendid dance-pop with cruisey electronic beats and a beautifully synth-laden drop, “Back to You” moves with an explosion of colour.

“Back to You is a powerful, uplifting and romantic tune about always being able to come back home safely to love no matter how messed up the world outside seems.” – Joakim Molitor

The power of his production and songwriting alone has won him many successes and understandably so. After his breakthrough song “Always Gonna Say No” released in 2017 amassed close to 11 million streams and his following smash hit “Get Lost” rose to over 18 million streams on Spotify, his latest release is expected to follow suit.

By all accounts an unstoppable force, Joakim Molitor is poised to make some serious waves in the Swedish electronic music scene.

FNP’s New Disco-House Track “Too Late” Will Put You In The Mood To Move

0

Eat London’s electronic artist and producer FNP (Fake Name Preferably) is back and ready to take you to new heights with his zesty new single, which will surely put you in the mood to move. The new track “Too Late” is a feel-good piece of nu-wave disco, which FNP describes as “a kind of retro, disco style track,” that is both groovy and soulful.

“It’s important to challenge yourself with every release. Too many producers get stagnant” – FNP

Drifting in between the realms of techno, electronica and experimental, FNP is becoming known for his unique take on electronic club music with minimally designed, eclectic beats, which Thump Magazine described as evoking “pastel visions of summer sunsets.”

In his latest work “Too Late” there’s a strong 80’s undercurrent within the track, as disco-synth orchestral elements blend with more modernised club influences. Psychedelic filter sweeps, a dense sub-base and retro vocals guide the track through a sultry jam-sesh of experimentalism. The result is an inquisitive, euphoric new track to add to FNP’s already engrossing back-catalogue of club bangers.

AJ Salvatore Remixes His Own Song With Music Video In Celebration Of 1 Million Streams

0

If somebody ever said you can’t remix your own song, clearly AJ Salvatore didn’t get the memo and we’re so glad he didn’t! In celebration of his original track with Fluencee and Bri Tolani  “Better” achieving over 1 million streams on Spotify alone, the Orlando-based artist and producer has delivered a new, upbeat take on the electronic track, complemented with an official music video that dropped last Friday!

“This song meant a lot to me, as it was my biggest release so far. Doing this remix with a good friend brought out a lot of emotion and I think it resulted in something just as addicting as the original” – AJ Salvatore

Infused with nostalgic references and retro vibes (polaroid pictures, vinyl records and film dust) the music video is mischievously stylish in its use of visual devices. Combined with the remix’s fresh energy, the powerful audio-visual combo allows for a thoroughly enjoyable, all-immersive experience.

We have no doubt that it will be onwards and upwards for AJ Salvatore and cannot wait to see where the young talent will be a year from now!
