Spotify Integrates Virtual Event Listings

With virtual events becoming the norm throughout the better part of 2020, Spotify have now integrated them into their platform. The listings will be viewable in a similar manner to proper events, through the concerts tab on an artists profile.

Fans can visit the “On Tour” section of their favorite artists’ profiles to view scheduled performances or take a look at the full listings in Spotify’s Concerts hub. Both will integrate event listings for shows on any platform—whether that’s Twitch, Instagram Live, YouTube Live, a hosted website, or something else—through partnerships with Songkick and Ticketmaster.

So, this means if you have an upcoming event you want Spotify to share with listeners, you should work through Songkick to get these events listed (there is no way to list the event directly through Spotify for Artists). A select number of Ticketmaster events will also be automatically listed on Spotify.

Artists will also be able to set the virtual event as their Artist Pick – bringing more attention to it.

You can learn more about the new integration as well as learn how to add an event to your own artist profile here.
