Swedish House Mafia Release ‘Lifetime’ With Ty Dolla $ign & 070 Shake

Just last Friday, we accepted Swedish House Mafia back into our open arms again with their single ‘It Gets Better’ and three days later, we have ‘Lifetime’.

Teaming up with Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake, the single is a groovy pop record that is guaranteed success. The track feels like it could have come from Daft Punk, which may have been on purpose given the Swedes’ fondness for the French duo.

Swedish House Mafia have created a record that speaks to the masses and has commercial appeal. Yet, the record is clearly something they are doing for themselves, not for anybody else.

Many may not have loved ‘It Gets Better’ as much as they expected to but there is no denying the quality of ‘Lifetime’. The production is impeccable and, aided by Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake, the five musicians create a masterpiece.

‘Lifetime’ has been the talk of Swedish House Mafia fans before there was even discussions of their recent comeback, as it appeared as a Spotify ad prematurely.

Swedish House Mafia are set to perform the single together with the collaborators on Jimmy Fallon later today, whether or not that will be an in-studio performance is yet to be confirmed.
