Ultra’s Baypark Contract Has Been Terminated

During a meeting by the Miami City Commission of Planning and Zoning today, a unanimous vote was made to deny the contract for Ultra Music Festival to remain at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.

The reasoning behind the vote for the termination of contract is due to the downtown residents complaining the festival is too loud and disruptive to their community.

The festival is a huge contribution to the Miami economy and attracts hundreds of thousands of people to the area. There will understandably people on different sides of this issue.

It is highly unlikely that UMF will be held in Miami in 2019 unless a resolution can be achieved among parties.

Ultra have released an official statement that the contract isn’t officially terminated, but that they have lost certain terms within the contract. At this point, Ultra Music Festival is still going ahead.
