Spawning from Riots Games and Spotify’s partnership, the Untold Stories podcast will take fans behind the scenes and through the years, diving into some of the most iconic moments from the past decade of Worlds.
Each episode will dissect one of these moments, unearthing soundbites, sharing unheard anecdotes and conducting new interviews with key players.
Hosted by esports personalities James “Dash” Patterson, Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere and Gabriella “LeTigress” Devia-Allen, the new 9-episode series will drop Tuesday mornings on Spotify leading up to the 10th anniversary of Worlds. A 10th podcast episode will be released post 2020 Worlds along with a bonus episode focused on the making of The World’s Anthem for 2020.
Episode 1 takes it back to the 2011 event held at Dreamhack in Sweden and brings on Phreak. The event was so small that it was often referred to as taking place in Phreak’s Basement.
