New Dance Sounds: Dirty South, Jonas Blue, Chris Lake, Oliver Heldens + More

15th of November has been a day to remember for dance music. Madeon’s new album was finally released and there have been singles from some of the biggest names in the game. Be sure to make your way through some of the best new dance sounds below, as well as individual pieces here:

Madeon – Good Faith [Album]
MK & Sonny Fodera – One Night
deadmau5 – SATRN
Golden Features & The Presets – Raka [EP]

Dirty South feat. Marion Amira – All I Need [Phazing]

Dirty South is no stranger to excellent productions and that does not change with his latest record. Teaming up with emerging vocalist Marion Amira, she creates a perfect contrast to the groovy and peaceful instrumental. After a slew of releases on Anjuna and This Never Happened, Dirty South returns to his own imprint; Phazing.

Oliver Heldens, Firebeatz & Schella feat. Carla Monroe – Lift Me Up [Heldeep]

Heldeep boss Oliver Heldens teams up with Firebeatz and Schella for the first time. ‘Lift Me Up’ sees the foursome produce a high energy house record that has all the trademarks for a Heldeep release. They recruit talented vocalist Carla Monroe to provide a classy touch to the record.

Jonas Blue & RetroVision – All Night Long [Electronic Nature]

Maybe the most unexpected collaboration today is Jonas Blue and RetroVision getting together for a future house-esque vocal anthem in ‘All Night Long’. The track feels very reminiscent of RetroVision’s past releases, something that has recently shot him to fame. This is a great step for both artists! Jonas has recently lent back into his dance roots and this is another example of that.

Lane 8 feat. Arctic Lake – Don’t Let Me Go [This Never Happened]

Lane 8 recruits Arctic Lake for the first time and hopefully not the last time! The mix between the breathtaking vocals and Lane 8’s outstandingly well produced instrumental is amazing. Lane 8 opts for a slightly more in depth production that holds up with the rest of his incredible discography.

Julian Jordan – Next Level [STMPD]

Julian Jordan continues his releases on good friend Martin Garrix’s STMPD. This time with ‘Next Level’, it is a truly energetic main room release that is sure to please crowds around the world. The production utilises sounds that have been heard throughout STPMD’s catalog, something that has made it one of the leading dance imprints currently.

Slushii x Kaivon – Sober [Independent]

Slushii is gearing up for his Dream II album coming next week (25th). Before that however, he collaborates with Kaivon for ‘Sober’. This highly energetic release builds anticipation until it climaxes to a banging electronic blitz. If this is an example of Slushii’s album next week, hype has definitely been increased!

Chris Lake & Solardo – Free Your Body [Black Book]

Two of the hottest house producers at the moment have come together for ‘Free Your Mind’. The production emits both artists’ sounds which culminates in a banging house hitter ready for crowds. There is no doubt this will get plenty of support from DJs around the world.

Nitti Gritti & Shaquille O’Neal – Takin’ Over [Thrive]

Nitti Gritti has collided with basketball star turned investor turned bass DJ Shaquille O’Neal for ‘Takin’ Over’. This bass heavy dubstep production features aggressive sounds as well as vocals from Shaq. It finds its home on LA based Thrive Records.

Man Cub feat. Svrcina – In A Dream [Enhanced]

Man Cub sticks with Enhanced for his new progressive anthem ‘In A Dream’. Impressive vocals and electronic elements make this a must listen for Enhanced fans. Man Cub goes to Svrcina again for vocals. With the success of their last collab, it was just a matter of time before we saw them together again.
