DEADLINE Joins Forces With Mark Roma To Reveal New Single “Mine”

0

Brazilian DJ and producer DEADLINE is consistently capturing the attention of a worldwide dance music audience with his viral productions and remixes. The project of Thiago Martins, DEADLINE stands out with his unmatched talent and unique sound signature, which combines elements from progressive house, techno, synthwave and more. Being the Brazilian representative of the “Future Rave” movement created by David Guetta and MORTEN, DEADLINE has received support from David Guetta, Hardwell, Tiësto and Vintage Culture just to name a few, and is seemingly only getting started.

Teaming up with Mark Roma, DEADLINE has now just revealed his brand new single “Mine,” a dark and dense tune that quickly explodes into a hard-hitting drop, driven by DEADLINE’s unique and aggressive arrangement. “Mine” is certainly a DJ weapon which will see massive support from the scene, as it’s more than capable of raising the energy level in clubs and festivals.

“Mine” follows up the success of tracks like “Kiss Me Hard,” “Sabotage” and “Shout” in collaboration with DJ Antoine. On the other hand, DEADLINE’s collaboration with Kryder, “You & I,” is being supported by many acts across the globe to this day; the hype around DEADLINE is only rising, and we can’t to hear what he comes up with next.

Bad Tuner and TIN Release the Breezy Cool “I Contact”

0

Dripping with goodnatured vibes is New York’s Bad Tuner. The rising stalwart of breezy cool sounds has had a strong 2020 into 2021, establishing himself as an artist unbound by the dance scene’s craze for Tech House, House, and Bass house. He triumphantly has stayed in his lane, spinning barbs of buttery pleasantries that should be all you need for a good night — maybe with a little “mother Russia” in your cup as Yaeji would suggest. He continues his strong roll of tracks with the release of his “I Contact” with the help of TIN, the trending artist that began his ascent as creative director for 88rising.

On “I Contact”, Bad Tuner colors the atmosphere with streaks of affability, highlights of euphoria, and shades of ease. It’s the type of song that washes over you with a wave that instantly removes life’s tension and stress saying, “not today friend”. Similar to his previous songs, It’s almost like Bad Tuner is daring or even wishing his audience would submit to a laissez-faire feeling, at least for the moment. It’s this stylistic integrity that has consisted through his work and has established a coolness that is often lost by the dance acts chasing a craze that may have popped on TikTok. That is also why I look forward to each new track from Bad Tuner and why he is on the path to something special.

Breaking down “I Contact” further, the track is easily enjoyable and one that will be spun often. The production work is not overly complicated with 800 horns layered upon each other or distortion roughening the edges. It’s meticulously woven like a spider’s web with each element serving its purposes to create a greater whole. It’s a masterclass on production and the idea that less is more.

I would be remiss to not mention TIN. His vocals provide the perfect balance to the project and lift the spirit to a heavenly plane. The Vietnamese-American artist is one to keep your eye on in 2022.

Bad Tuner is building a strong repertoire of indie dance tracks that are easy to get lost in and feel good within their sound. “I Contact” falls nicely in line and continues to establish him as an act with a purpose, bringing post-pandemic bliss.

Cyrus Gold And Kindred Release ‘Blank Pages’ On Rude Service

0

Released on label Rude Service, Cyrus Gold and Kindred have fused the best aspects of both their skillsets to bring the world “Blank Pages.” The single features a nice blend of future influences alongside heavy bass. The combination, topped with a vocal along with these other aspects, makes for a well-rounded release staged to win fans over. Overall sad in some ways, but hopeful in others, “Blank Pages,” is a nice edition to the catalog of both artists involved.

Cyrus Gold has been on a role these last several months, “Blank Pages,” just being one of many successful parts worth mentioning for the artist. He was booked to play Lost Lands this year, alongside some of the biggest names in bass. He’s released on Excision’s label Subsidia, which is no easy feat to capture.

Based in Hong Kong, Cyrus Gold is all about experiencing and outputting various genres within the realm of electronic, at times blended with commercial pop sensibilities. Inspired by his EDM-rich surroundings and online culture, the solo artist has a knack for putting a catchy twist on the genres he embraces. Multi-faceted and with plenty of allure, Cyrus Gold hits many highpoints where others don’t.

GunFight Is Keeping Up The Momentum With Heavy New Single “Smoke Signal”

0

From launching his career back in 2014 with his 3-track EP ‘Infinite,’ to having established himself as a dominant force within bass music in 2021, GunFight is a producer whose persistence and talent are hard to match. 2017 was a monumental year for GunFight, who independently released an impressive two albums in the span of just 12 months. ‘Paramount’ saw the producer explore more glitchy, electro and downtempo sounds, while ‘Rouse’ was predominantly driven by dubstep and drum & bass tunes, both making up for great additions in GunFight’s catalog.

Then, after his 2018 EP Herculean Waves, which cemented GunFight’s impressive ability to consistently craft bass-heavy gems, came one of the most impressive runs we’ve seen from any name within the dance scene, placing GunFight in the forefront of bass music’s exciting new wave. It all started in early 2020 with dubstep banger “Purgatory,” while GunFight made sure to keep his fans engaged with a total of 12 singles throughout 2020, and another 9 just this year so far.

GunFight’s creativity in the studio is seemingly never-ending, with his productions ranging all the way from dubstep and drum & bass to electro house and techno. Recently, he even dabbled in melodic trap with exciting single “Acid Rush,” and dark disco with “Midnight Arcade.“

GunFight has now just unveiled his brand new single “Smoke Signal,” a drum & bass anthem that truly surpasses all expectations. Just like his previous releases, “Smoke Signal” visually lives within his very own conceptual, cyberpunk-inspired world, and manages to tell an immersive auditory story throughout its 5+ minutes of runtime. Starting off with the help of epic arpeggios and atmospheres, the tune quickly builds up while utilizing gritty effects and hard-hitting drums, before exploding into a drop that is bound to shake anyone’s speakers.

GunFight’s influence across the board is indisputable. With support from massive dance music names such as Craze, Don Diablo, Lost Frequencies, Zeds Dead, Slushii and Jauz, as well as two NFT releases that accompanied his singles “Heroes and Zeroes” and “To the Moon,“ GunFight’s track record is as impressive as his tunes. We expect him to only rise from here, especially since he just made the move to LA from his hometown of Austin, TX, in order to pursue a full-time career in music.

The Emotion Pro Are A Great Addition To SOUL’s Product Line

0

SOUL’s latest wireless earbuds have arrived and they are simply great. Whilst the design will not win any awards, the earbuds bring a range of improvements. Even though they may have a silly name, the actual product is far from.

One of the best features of the Emotion Pro is one that is not promoted. The earbuds fit perfectly in my ears comparing with other SOUL products and going for a run with them was a treat. At no point did I even need to push them back into my ears, which occurred frequently with others. At multiple times during use, I forgot they were even in my ears.

The noise cancellation and transparent modes are another terrific addition. Obviously compared with over ear headphones, the noise cancellation is not on their level.

The ability to connect to two devices at the one time is a new addition to the Emotion Pro and one that is very much welcomed. Being that weird person with two phones, this feature is terrific – allowing for notifications and music to be played through from both phones at the one time. Whilst I have not used then for a phone and a computer/laptop a the same time, I expect the experience to be just as terrific.

After enduring the tedious initial connection that many Bluetooth devices have, the connectivity was solid. By the time the earbuds were in my ears, they had connected to both phones and were ready to go.

The touch buttons are not the best. After a number of weeks, I did get a hold of the controls, but anything more than changing noise cancellation profiles and/or changing song, it’s best to alter on your phone.

Something that was missing from the SOUL suite of products for sometime was a companion app. Thankfully now it has arrived and is integrated with the Emotion Pro. Whilst the app is quite basic, allowing the changing of noise cancellation types as well as EQ profiles – it is better than nothing. For those wanting to customize EQ levels, the Emotion Pro is now on your list.

The look of the earbud is certainly not the strongest thing going for the product. Comparing with the Sync ANC, the Emotion Pro is not that easy on the eye. They are bulky and are not that sleak.

Another negative whilst comparing with the Sync ANC is the case, seen below, the case is more bulky and whilst still pocket-able, a weirder shape. However, all is forgiven thanks to the inclusion of wireless charging, allowing for even more options. The magnetic element also seemed weaker comparing with the Sync ANC, something that will be missed.

Once again, the battery life on the earbuds are outstanding. There are no worries at all with battery, using them for commuting for a whole week only dinted the capacity. The high efficiency battery boasts up to nine solid hours of continuous use on a single charge and 36 hours of music, entertainment, and talk time with ANC off (28 hours with ANC on).

The sound quality was solid, thanks to SOUL’s signature precision sound, including a powerful 10mm driver and AAC codec. The soul are certainly not for any audiophiles, but are more than pleasant for the average music and video consumer.

At $110+, these are not the cheapest option out there. SOUL now offer a lot of features that competitors have had for a while. For that reason, the Emotion Pro should definitely be in consideration when searching for new earbuds.

Roxe Drops New House Anthem ‘Crazy For You’

0

Roxe continues his impressive run with another heater ‘Crazy For You’. The banging house production finds its home on HUGS.

Building monumental foundations to his career at a rapid pace, his polished, yet dirty sound has been turning heads beyond his hometown – picking up plays from industry heavyweights including Chris Lake, Wade, Martin Ikin, Claude VonStroke, Low Steppa and Leftwing : Kody to name a few.

“I’m really happy to sign on this label, I know the great team behind it, it’s an honour to work with them and to be one of the first releases. My track ‘Crazy For You’ is one of the last creations I did, I take care of everything meticulously, it has a groove that rolls very fluid, a voice that sticks and maintains the hook, very characteristic sounds and a synth that transmits a “dramatic feeling”. There is a moment where an atmosphere of uncertainty is created along with the frenzy of the build up to then release the drop like a hard punch in the face.” – Roxe

REVIEW: Chris Lake Shuts It Down At The Midway’s Black Book Party

0

It was a chilly Saturday night in San Francisco, after suffering a delay for its original date, Chris Lake gave the fans what they wanted and delivered a much better than expected Black Book Block Party. Consisting of a lineup featuring Chris Lake himself, Chris Lorenzo, VNSSA, and Bruja, this house spectacle showcased a variety of discreet sounds and styles that were perfect for the occasion.

Sectioning out an entire street beside San Francisco’s The Midway, the proportions could not have been any larger. With the stage set, fans quickly loaded into the area to be treated to 6 hours of house music. Fresh off the collaboration with Grimes, Chris Lake was able to debut the newly released “A Drug From A God” in front of this faithful San Francisco crowd. The vibes, food, and bars were immaculate and the elements to a great night out were all put in place.

LISTEN: L*o*J Get Heavy On FUXWITHIT Records Release “Supersonic”

0

L*o*J are returning to their roots with the release of the massive new single ‘Supersonic.’ Hot off releases on KUMO Collective & Slow Roast Records, the duo makes their mark on FUXWITHIT records with another epic trap heater. Ancient elements dance with worldly sounds and futuristic sound design for an enchanting yet hard-hitting journey. Deep growls, barks, pulsing bass, and pounding percussion give the track a gritty edge. The sound is perfectly balanced against the tribal undercurrent, exotic instrumentation, and epic soundscape. Topping it off, the vocal chants in the second drop elevate the track to a near-spiritual existence. Whether you’re looking to get swept away to a mystical world, or you’re just in the mood for a trap banger, ‘Supersonic’ has you covered.

“So ‘Supersonic’ was written beginning 2021. We actually decided to go back to the L*o*J roots when we started with this project. This is more L*o*J in 2015. We were in a very tribal mood that night and we started to dig through ancient vocals/flutes and tribal/exotic sounds. The idea of that song was to bring people into a certain state where they feel like they’re in an ancient fantasy jungle/desert. Ancient historical flutes and singing with a touch of heavy futuristic elements and basslines combined in a beat describes almost exactly what we think would exist as a music form in places like Naboo or Pandora.” – L*o*J
