Pop Icon Katy Perry has armed herself with a fresh sound in 2019 and her army of fans around the globe are hungry for more already. Having returned this week with “Never Really Over” she’s receiving praise from all corners. It marks her first solo release since her 2017 Album ‘Witness’ and it’s arrival has many fans ecstatic, speculating it signals a new album due this year. The release comes after ‘365’ with Zedd and follows a busy season as one of the Judges of American Idol.

The thumping electronic production on “Never Really Over” was arranged by none other than her recent collaborator Zedd. On the record the pop queen recalls the heart-ache of a years earlier break up thats brought her crumbling down all over again. The song’s message hints at the bad timing of old flames, hinted at through the mind bending music video which see’s Perry head to a retreat dancing in fields with other attendee’s where telling clue is highlighted only as she prepares to leave the hippie village.

LAUV Drops New Song ‘Drugs & The Internet’ Along With Trippy Video

If you saw LAUV drop a new single today an expected something mellow when you hit play, think again. As of today we’re introduced to a new direction for LAUV and we’re loving it!. The new single “Drugs & The Internet” is an impressive and powerful anthem, with gritty production and smart lyrics.

The main hook “I traded all my friends for drugs and the internet, Ah shit, am I a winner yet?” appears to draw ties between the addiction and social media fame. It comes along with an equally impressive and out of the box music video which supports our initial first thoughts.

It starts off walking alone in the night he kicks a broken PC monitor and is transported into a trippy new dimension of coloured walls, prescription bottles, VHS tapes, neon lights, animal filters, and jumps to him sat at a table full of mannequins and models and taking a spoonful of jelly (which was also featured in the video for NIKI’s ‘Lowkey’ which we covered yesterday). The video takes one last twist when he jumps back to the original scene, however as it zooms out it shows Lauv watching himself.

This ones without a doubt destined to hit radio waves worldwide in no time, and we’ll be singing along!

It’s unconfirmed whether or not this is the final version of the track but by listening to it you can tell its very close.

There are supposedly more unreleased Avicii material to be leaked also, take this with a grain of salt – unconfirmed source.

The track is being taken down all over the internet so if this link is dead, that’s why.
