New Dance Sounds: Above & Beyond, EDX, Nicky Romero + More

Friday the 27th of September brings us plenty of releases from some of the top artists in the world. From Above and Beyond to Julian Calor, this week has a range of diverse genres.
We also covered other significant releases below:

Zedd & Kehlani – Good Thing
Flume feat. Vera Blue – Rushing Back
Galantis – Holy Water
Felix Jaehn & Mesto feat. VCATION – Never Alone
Seven Lions, NGHTMRE & Dabin feat. Dylan Matthew – First Time (NGHTMRE Remix)
Ekali feat. Wafia – Be Fine
Tinlicker – This Is Not Our Universe (Album)
Diplo & Jonas Brothers – Lonely

Above & Beyond – Hideaway [Anjunabeats]

Above & Beyond first played this record at Miami Music Week 2017 and then featured in the recent Anjunabeats Volume 14, ‘Hideaway’ now sees an the light of day in an individual release. With explosive drops and classic A&B trance sounds, this is a treat for all.

Trilane feat. Tom Noah – Never Forget (Nicky Romero Edit) [Protocol]

If you’re a fan of the progressive house style coming from Nicky Romoro and Protocol recently, this will be your highlight of the week. Nicky Romero lends his skills to Trilane’s ‘Never Forget’. Vocals provided by Tom Noah tie the production together nicely and are really the icing on the cake. Once again another excellent release from the Protocol camp.

EDX – Neptune [Pinkstar]

EDX has smashed his new single out of the park, after releasing a handful of excellent releases – EDX continues that trajectory with ‘Neptune’. He returns to PinkStar Records after 2 years. ‘Neptune’ features punchy kicks and a minimal sound design that results in an amazing track.

Zeds Dead x Funkin Matt feat. Fiora – Feels So [Spinnin’]

In what seems like an unusual combination, we have Zeds Dead and Funkin Matt teaming up for ‘Feels So’. Whilst the track heavily embraces Funkin Matt’s signature sound, Zeds Dead sprinkle their talents throughout the production. ‘Feels So’ is out through Spinnin, a label the artists have not been on in a long time.

Lane 8 feat. POLIÇA – Brightest Lights [This Never Happened]

Lane 8 is back with another magical masterpiece. Recruiting POLIÇA for her beautiful vocals, they come together with the instrumental exceptionally. With the release of this new single, Lane 8 announced his new album of the same name (Brightest Lights) coming January 10th next year.

Julian Calor – Galactic Trumpet [Monstercat]

Julian Calor continues his run on Monstercat with ‘Galactic Trumpet’. It sounds exactly like the name. After Space Flute last year, we now have this! It has thumping high energy track that finds itself at home in Julian’s discography.

Tom Budin & Debris feat. joegarratt – Nothing Left To Say [Future House Music]

Tom Budin returns to Future House Music for his newest release. Teaming up with Debris and joegarratt, they bring house beats and brilliant vocals. It has been three years since Tom was on FHM, it’s good to see him back. Tom Budin is continuing his roll after having tracks released on OneLove and Mixmash recently.

Jordan Comolli – BILL$ [Independent]

As the first single from his forthcoming EP, Jordan Comolli takes the wraps off ‘BILL$’. It’s a hard hitting trap release that blends electronic and hip-hop influences. At only 21, Jordan is killing the trap game and this new one only solidifies that.

Birch – Come To Life [Go For Gold]

Birch’s new one is a stellar example of future house. With a bouncey production and excellent vocal chops, this is an energetic house track that you should definitely listen to!
