Los Angeles

California

The mad thing is I wasn’t originally the biggest fan of LA but I’ve fallen in love with it more and more over the years. The restaurants are incredible and if you’re lucky & get an offer to party at someone’s house in the hills, then take it!!

Ibiza

Spain

It’s always a No.1 go to place for me to party with my friends during the summer. Not only is the nightlife amazing but Old Town is a real mix of old & new with a chilled atmosphere and beautiful restaurants.

Barbados

Carribbean

Barbados has a special place in my heart: I went there as a kid and love the beaches & crystal clear water. Waking up in the morning and finding yourself surrounded by red crabs and swiminning with the turtles is a memory I’ll never forget.

Ferry Corsten Releases The Latest UNITY Collaboration with BT on ‘1997’

0

Ferry Corsten is back with his latest ‘Unity’ collaboration, after releasing the last one with Ilan Bluestone back in December – Ferry has teamed up with BT for a special collaboration in ‘1997‘.

Ferry Corsten has been busy with solo music in the first half of 2019, releasing ‘Freefall‘ – which feels like a more commercially viable release. He also returned to his Gouryella alias with ‘Surga‘.

Ferry Corsten has brought in another big name into the Unity project, with the legend that is BT. After remixing BT’s track ‘Suddenly’ in 2010, the pair are familiar with each other’s prowess in the studio, and that united vision is showcased in abundance. The team-up sees both artists strengths utilised to their best potential to create a track that is greater than the sum of its parts. As it should, the production leans heavily on the killer uplifting melody – which is a prominent throughout the entire track. The mix of each artist’s styles is present and concludes in an epic collaboration.

Ferry launched the UNITY project in 2018 with his collaboration alongside Paul Oakenfold titled ‘A Slice Of Heaven’, and continued working with artists within the Trance community throughout the year, such as DIM3NSION, Jordan Suckley, Saad Ayub and Ilan Bluestone, and after the success of 2018 has more releases in store after making his first donation to project partner, VH1’s Save The Music Foundation, an organisation launched to reinstate music programs in public schools, which to date has raised over $53 million and helped over 2,100 public schools.

You can learn more about the Unity project with our Ferry Corsten Interview.

R3HAB and GATTÜSO Drop Spotify’s First-Ever ‘mint Singles’ Release ‘Creep’

0

Spotify’s popular dance playlist and brand mint has just kicked off their new single releases with R3HAB and GATTÜSO’s collaboration. The new singles will be a spin off of their Spotify Singles series. With ‘Creep’ being a direct tie in into Spotify, that causes the single to be an exclusive, not available on other music platforms.

‘Creep’ is a cover of one of Radiohead’s most iconic tracks – redone with a vocal big-room house vibe. Opening with angelic vocals over a barely-there bassline, we soon discover that this track packs a punch of attitude when the breakdown dives into a bouncy, groovy soundscape intermixed with upbeat melodies. “Creep” will feel at home on the radio and during live performances, which might make it your new go-to track for any occasion.

Steve Aoki Provides His Remix Treatment To R3HAB & ZAYN’s ‘Flames’

0

Just a few months after its original release, R3HAB, ZAYN, and Jungleboi’s acclaimed collaboration “Flames” got a remix by the two-time Grammy-nominated producer/DJ Steve Aoki. Trading the original’s soothing beats for funky breakdowns and driving basslines, Steve Aoki flips “Flames” on its head and makes it ready for a night out. ZAYN’s infamously velvety vocals remain primarily intact for the remix, adding a sensual touch to this dancefloor killer. The single was one of R3HAB’s most talked-about releases from 2019, demonstrating his dynamic process as a producer who is at home experimenting with many different sounds. Now roping in the legendary producer/DJ for remix duties, R3HAB is truly taking it to the next level in the new decade.

Steve Aoki and I go way back to my early days of touring and releasing music. With “Flames” being one of my most significant releases to date, I couldn’t be happier that Steve has agreed to make this remix of the song. It’s a real original twist on the track – which is what a remix should be, of course! It’s fire, so enjoy!” – R3HAB

It was a lot of fun remixing this one for R3HAB, Jungleboi, and ZAYN. Such a massive track, I had to make more of a club vibe for it. Let’s see your dance choreography, and all the DJs bang it out in the club! – Steve Aoki

New Hope Club Reaches Out to EDM Community with R3HAB Collaboration “Let Me Down Slow”

0

After a meteoric rise over the latter half of the decade, New Hope Club has joined forces with EDM behemoth, R3HAB for another solid addition to their scorching discography. Those who are fans of both groups likely know how the song sounds as it combines the voices of New Hope Club with the electronic pop touch of R3HAB’s time-tested production technique. On the surface, the song itself is quite unassuming but dig a bit deeper and you’ll be rewarded by rich lyrics covering the nuances of a slowly declining relationship.

Seeing these superpowers combine talents like this is always exciting for the fans as it could expose them to styles of music they weren’t currently aware of or gives them the chance to revisit them with perhaps a more open mind. Similarly when EDM duo Breathe Carolina was granted the first official remix of Smash Mouth’s iconic track “All Stars,” a new generation was exposed to the diverse discography of the duo and likely brought many new fans into the fold. Hopefully the same will happen here as the track continues to spread throughout the airwaves. Do your part and give it a listen using the links below.
